George Campbell
Member of Longest Standing

In the process of identifying the members of Westminster eligible for the Heritage Club, it was discovered that George Campbell has been a member the longest...72 years! When asked if he had been confirmed at Westminster, George replied that he couldn't remember, but that he did remember attending a white clapboard church before coming to the current church building on the corner of Woolworth and 35 Street. In 1927 Westminster merged with Parkvale Presbyterian Church, which was then located at 32nd Avenue and Martha. It is possible that is the church that Mr. Campbell makes reference to.
